Verizon Fios and 5G Home availability: which states get which product, and how to tell
Fios is a fiber list of 35 names in the East. 5G Home is a wireless list of 63 names in 25 states. Frontier is a third network.

Where does Verizon offer home internet?
Verizon Fios is listed in 9 jurisdictions: Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington, DC (checked Oct 27, 2026). Verizon 5G Home Internet is listed in 25 states. In FCC data as of Dec 31, 2025, Verizon reports fiber at 9,353,456 locations in those 9 jurisdictions. It files fixed wireless in every state and DC.

Common questions
Which states have Verizon Fios?
Verizon lists Fios in 9 jurisdictions (checked Oct 27, 2026): Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, as well as Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington, DC. Its FCC filing also shows a small amount of fiber in Connecticut and New Hampshire, which are not on the consumer Fios list.
Is Verizon 5G Home offered outside the 25 states it lists?
It can be. Verizon introduces its list with "more locations including", and its FCC filing shows fixed wireless, 5G Home and LTE Home together, in 51 jurisdictions (50 states + DC) (Dec 31, 2025).
Is Frontier Fiber the same as Fios now?
No. Verizon says Frontier is now a Verizon company, but it describes Frontier's fiber network apart from Fios, and Frontier files with the FCC separately, reporting fiber at 6,545,954 locations nationwide (Dec 31, 2025). Verizon's page does not name Frontier's 31 states.
Why can my neighbor get 5G Home when I can't?
Verizon says wireless home internet may require a direct line of sight to its cell site, so addresses on the same block can differ (Verizon's FAQ, checked Oct 27, 2026).
Can I get Verizon Fios in Connecticut or New Hampshire?
Verizon does not list Fios in Connecticut or New Hampshire (checked Oct 27, 2026). Its FCC filing still shows fiber in both states as of Dec 31, 2025. Its national fiber total is 9,364,251 locations, and 9,353,456 locations of those are inside the 9 Fios jurisdictions, which leaves about 10,800 for the two states together.
Can I still sign up for Verizon LTE Home?
No. For LTE Home, Verizon's FAQ reads: new sign-ups no longer available (checked Oct 27, 2026). In FCC data, LTE Home and 5G Home are both licensed fixed wireless, so the map cannot tell them apart.
