Looking for a Fios availability map? The free FCC National Broadband Map works at the address level: type in a Pennsylvania address and it lists the providers that reported service at that location, Verizon included. Those filings run months behind, so treat the map as a second opinion and Verizon's address check as the answer.

  1. L1: ZIP estimate. A ZIP code covers many streets. We do not publish ZIP pages.
  2. L2: FCC-reported (used on this page). Providers report the technology at each location to the FCC National Broadband Map.
  3. L3: Provider-coverage (used on this page). Verizon names the place on its own locations page (shown as "Listed by Verizon").

Deciding in Pennsylvania

Around Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, compare Fios with Comcast cable if both fit your address. If you are leaving Comcast, read what switching away from Xfinity involves. For an Xfinity address, See Xfinity plans.

In Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, check Fios and Frontier on their own to see what you can get. In the middle of the state, compare the wired and wireless products offered at your address.

The state has the widest field of any Fios state, with 30 providers filing service at 0.5% or more of units, and the highest DSL share of the nine. It also has the highest share of homes with no internet, 7.9%. Work out how much speed your household needs before you compare them.

Just under half of Verizon's fiber here is filed at a multi-gig speed. Weigh gigabit against multi-gig before you pay for it.
