Where does EarthLink offer home internet?
EarthLink sells home internet in 48 states, every state but Alaska and Hawaii (listed by EarthLink, checked Sep 24, 2026). It sells three separate products: EarthLink Fiber, home wireless over 5G and 4G LTE towers, and satellite on Viasat's network. Your street address decides which one you can order.
EarthLink says its fiber is sold selectively, mostly in major cities and dense communities. For satellite, Viasat reports service at 98.54% of US residential locations (FCC-reported, data as of Dec 31, 2025).

Where EarthLink fiber is offered sets EarthLink's wording beside FCC fiber shares for each of its 48 states. The four fiber speeds are compared in choosing an EarthLink fiber speed.
With EarthLink Wireless you choose a data plan, not a speed. EarthLink guarantees no particular upload or download speed.
Sometimes EarthLink can't sell any of the three at an address. Its Internet Near Me page says it may then refer you to AT&T, Xfinity, Verizon, Spectrum or Google.

EarthLink says the wireless service works only at the service location. The router stays at the address you signed up with.
EarthLink advertises its satellite service at up to 100 Mbps. The FCC's broadband benchmark is 100 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. No geostationary service, Viasat's included, is reported at 100/20 anywhere in the US. North Dakota is the outlier. Viasat reports service at only 68.47% of its residential locations (FCC map, data as of Dec 31, 2025). It also has the highest rural fiber share among EarthLink's 48 states. Providers report fiber at 91.33% of its rural residential units (FCC map, data as of Dec 31, 2025). - If it is wireless, compare the data terms. There are no speed tiers to pick.
