SpaceX reports Starlink service to the FCC in all 50 states, DC and five territories. Its share of locations runs from 95.16% in Maryland to 100% in 20 of them.

Where does Starlink offer home internet?
Starlink is reported in all 50 states, DC and five territories. SpaceX reports residential service at 116,091,843 locations in the FCC map. That is 99.7% of US residential locations (data as of Dec 31, 2025).
Maryland (95.16%) and Pennsylvania (95.57%) have the lowest shares. Starlink's own map marks areas Available or Coming soon. The FCC data doesn't show that. Search the address before you treat a state share as service at the house.

Starlink, HughesNet and Viasat in the FCC data
Three satellite companies report home service to the FCC in almost every state. They report nearly the same number of locations. Only SpaceX's service is reported at the FCC's broadband benchmark. That benchmark, set on Mar 14, 2024, is 100 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up. The last column opens that company's plans, or the address check on this site when the company has no partner order link.

Outside the lower 48 states, the three filers differ more. EchoStar reports no HughesNet home service in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Viasat reports none in any of the five territories. In Alaska it reports service at only 61.05% of locations. SpaceX reports Starlink in all 56.
EarthLink's satellite service runs on Viasat's network. Its data plans and install terms are on EarthLink's satellite, fiber and wireless products.
Is Starlink available in your state?
SpaceX reports Starlink at 100% of locations in 20 of 56 states and territories. It reports 99.9% or more in 29 others. Seven states sit below 99.9%. Only two fall under 98%.

The FCC data doesn't say why Maryland and Pennsylvania trail.

Search the address on Starlink's availability map. It marks areas as Available or Coming soon and has a speed and latency view (checked Sep 24, 2026). The map lists no states or cities, so the search covers one address at a time. After you sign up, Starlink says the account's service-plan window shows the plans currently offered at that location.
How does Starlink's reach compare with HughesNet's?
In the FCC data the two report almost the same reach: 116,091,843 locations for SpaceX (Starlink) and 116,088,046 locations for EchoStar (HughesNet), as of Dec 31, 2025. The gap is speed. Low-orbit satellite service, the type Starlink uses, is reported at 100/20 Mbps or faster at 99.7% of US residential units. No geostationary service is reported at that speed.
How current is the FCC's Starlink data?
SpaceX files Starlink's coverage with the FCC twice a year, like every fixed broadband provider: data as of June 30 is due by Sep 1, and data as of Dec 31 is due by Mar 1. The FCC's national files dated Sep 15, 2026 carry data as of Dec 31, 2025. That is the snapshot behind the 99.7% national share.
Is Starlink available in Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico?
SpaceX reports Starlink at 100% of residential locations in Alaska, 100% in Puerto Rico and 99.98% in Hawaii (FCC-reported, data as of Dec 31, 2025). Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands and the US Virgin Islands are at 100% too. In Hawaii, EchoStar reports no HughesNet home service, and Viasat reports service at 99.87% of locations.
