Ohio is one of the 18 states on Kinetic's fiber-location directory. The Ohio page is more specific than the national directory: it says here is where Kinetic currently offers Kinetic Fiber Internet, then names communities. Start there, then qualify the building.

What the Ohio page claims

The Ohio locations page checked September 23, 2026 is titled around fiber home internet in Ohio and says Kinetic currently offers Kinetic Fiber Internet in a long community list. Examples on that list include Akron, Elyria and Newark. The list is much longer than three towns. Publishing a town means Kinetic is pointing readers at fiber in that community, not that every address inside the city limits is serviceable.

Ohio is also named on the 18-state directory at gokinetic.com/locations. Use the state page for community names and the address tool for the house. Do not treat a neighbor's install as your port.

Keep fiber and DSL apart in Ohio

The community list is attached to Kinetic Fiber Internet. Kinetic's fiber plan page distinguishes fiber from DSL over copper. If an Ohio checkout returns DSL or another copper product, you are not looking at the fiber directory's product, even if the town is listed.

Upload, equipment and installation questions follow the product you were actually offered. A fiber ONT placement checklist does not apply to a copper modem offer.

Confirm the town appears on the Ohio fiber community list.
Check the street address and unit, not the town name alone.
Record the technology on the label before comparing speeds.
Keep any current service until the new line passes a real-use test.

Ohio Kinetic is not Ohio cable or Ohio Verizon

Other companies also publish Ohio internet footprints. WOW!'s current about page does not list Ohio. Verizon's Fios metro list does not include Ohio, while Verizon's 5G Home list does. Those are different networks and different products. A Kinetic fiber community does not tell you whether cable, Fios, or 5G Home is available on the same street.

Compare only offers that qualify at the same address. A statewide brand presence is a reason to check, not a reason to pick a winner.

How to use the community list

Save the community result, the address result, and the product name together. If the address tool says fiber is not available, the community listing has not been disproved for the whole town, and it has also not created service for you. Ask Kinetic what construction, if any, would be required, and do not cancel another provider on a future-build remark.
