Where WOW! internet is offered

WOW! is a regional provider in the Midwest and Southeast. A market on the about page is not fiber at every home, and it is not a national cable footprint.

WOW! tells you where it operates more clearly than many brands. The about page names the region, the states, and a short list of new all-fiber networks. The homepage then explains that fiber internet and cable internet use different equipment. Read both before you assume a city is a fiber city.

Nineteen markets, six named states

WOW!'s about page, checked September 23, 2026, says it proudly serves 19 markets in the Midwest and Southeast, passing nearly 2 million residential, business and wholesale locations. The same page says services are in 19 markets primarily in the Midwest and Southeast, including Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Under those states it lists communities and regions, including Alabama cities such as Huntsville and Montgomery, Florida places such as Pinellas and Panama City, Georgia places such as Augusta and Columbus, Michigan regions, South Carolina places such as Charleston and Greenville, and Knoxville in Tennessee.

That is the published operating footprint. It does not include a claim of nationwide cable. Ohio is not in that state list. A passing count near 2 million is not a count of homes that can order a particular tier.

WOW! cable and WOW! fiber are different

The about page separates 'new all-fiber networks' in Central Florida, Greenville County, South Carolina, and Livingston County, Michigan from the rest of the sentence about where it provides service. Those three are called out as all-fiber. The other named markets are not given that label on the page.

WOW!'s own site also answers equipment questions separately. Cable internet discusses a modem. WOW! fiber Internet discusses a fiber terminal installed in the home, with Wi-Fi equipment that differs by speed tier. If your address is offered cable, do not shop it with fiber symmetrical assumptions. If it is offered fiber, do not assume a cable modem you already own replaces the fiber terminal.

A market name is a region, not a house

Several entries are regions rather than one municipality: Central Florida, East Central Michigan, Mid-Michigan, Southeast Michigan. A region label means WOW! is pointing at that part of the state. It does not mean every address inside the region can order, and it does not mean the whole region is the all-fiber network unless the page says so.

Columbus on the Georgia list is Columbus, Georgia, grouped with Augusta, Fort Gordon and Newnan. It is not a citation for Columbus, Ohio.

How to use the about page

Use it to decide whether a WOW! address check is plausible. Then use the address tool. The FCC map can show reported fixed service at the location and accepts availability challenges when a listing is wrong. Neither the about page nor the map schedules a technician.
